Margaret Davis is a multi-genre harpist based in the Houston, Texas. As a classical player, she regularly performs with professional orchestras like the Houston, Kansas City, and St. Louis Symphonies, as well as chamber ensembles like Houston’s Foundation for Modern Music, Opera in the Heights, New York City’s Metropolis Ensemble, and Ensemble Connect, among others. Davis has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across New York City at esteemed venues like Carnegie Hall, The Frick Collection, The St Regis Hotel, The Andaz Wall Street, The Yale Club Manhattan, The New York Athletic Club, The Bourne Mansion, and more. She has also presented her original music with duo project, Astoria Window at The Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, and The Delancey among other club, gallery, and concert spaces. In November, 2024, Davis joined jazz guitarist and singer-songwriter, Camila Meza and ensemble at Carnegie Hall for a performance of Meza's immersive work titled, Portal, which the group premiered at the Jazz Gallery in 2019. That same year, she collaborated with jazz guitarist and vocalist, Vilray on his debut single, Even in the Evening, and joined jazz singer, Dandy Wellington and his band at Bunker Studios in Brooklyn, New York, to record his 1920’s style single, Lucky Moon. Davis has also performed internationally, with the Orqestra Filarmonica de Jalisco in 2019, and at the Cabañas Cultural Center in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she presented a solo recital and chamber music concert in July of 2022.

As a teacher, Davis has been one of two Harp Specialists in Fort Bend Indepentent School District in Sugar Land, Texas since Fall, 2020. She works with around forty harp students across multiple campuses in small group and private lesson settings. In the Summer of 2022, Davis co-lead the first ever harp festival at the Cabañas Cultural Center, working with eight harp students over two weeks. As of the summer of 2023, Davis is a member of the harp faculty at AFA Summer Music Festival in Houston.

Davis graduated with a Bachelor of Harp degree from The Juilliard School, and earned her Master of Music degree from Yale School of Music.
